Community Tile Making Event (all ages welcome!)
Do you enjoy making art? Want to create a piece that will live in Asheville for years to come? Join us at Odyssey Clayworks in the River Arts District on June 7 to help make tiles for public artwork that will be installed on the Reed Creek Greenway near Broadway Public Safety Station!
This event is free and family friendly, so bring your kids, invite your friends, and spread the word to anyone who enjoys creating art. There are no age restrictions or skill requirements – all are welcome to participate.

Join AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina for their community baby shower on Thursday, June 12, from 4-7 PM at the Wellness & Opportunity Center (216 Asheland Avenue). Anyone who signs up ahead of time gets a chance to win a $50 Walmart gift card! RSVP at the link above.

Pisgah Kids Fish Day 2025
Please join us on Saturday June 7, for Kids Fish Day at Lake Powhatan! Free family fun from 9am -2pm at 375 Wesley Branch Rd, Asheville. We provide the materials you need to fish. Best of all– you don’t need a fishing license for this event.
Thank you to our Fish Day partners for making this event possible: US Forest Service, NC Wildlife Resources Commission, Trout Unlimited, The Pisgah Conservancy, Fish Your National Forests, Western North Carolina Muskie Club, Davidson River Outfitters, Brevard Insurance, Platt Home, Naventure, Ecusta Brewing, and Kedron Lodge.
Father’s Day Craft
We’re hosting a Father’s Day Craft on Saturday, June 14th and we’d love to see you there. We will be providing aprons for your kids to decorate here in store so they can enjoy wearing it while grilling out with dad at home. It’s going to be a great time!
Serenity Moss Garden Viewing Day
Serenity Moss Garden in Hendersonville will be open again for viewing, exclusively on Saturday, May 31st. Serenity Moss Garden has taken over 12 years and 350,000 floral pins to develop. The moss covers a mountain hillside area, approximately 10,000 square feet, surrounded by forest on Long John Mountain, and it’s stunning! More than seventy-five varieties of mostly ephemeral flowers bloom throughout the moss during the springtime. FREE TO SEE!
The moss garden is viewed from a 100 foot long wood-chip trail walk-around. Please plan on wearing secure shoes (not flip flops) as there are a couple of short inclines. 
Small children must hold their parents hands at all times.
No pets, please.
This is on the private property of Tom and Charlotte Brass. They are at the very end of Park Lane. Please park in the cul-de-sac and walk up the driveway.
