2025 Juneteenth Celebration – Asheville & Buncombe County

Join The Martin Luther King, Jr. Association of Asheville and Buncombe County and the City of Asheville for a week of events that honor freedom, history, and community. Let’s unite in celebration of culture, and community. All are welcome!

MARS HILL: Independence Day Pro Rodeo & Fireworks

July 3rd, 4th & 5th … 3 days of Pro Rodeo Independence Day celebration!

Broncs, Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing & Bull Riding, Mutton busting for the kids! Vendors, concessions, pony rides! Fun for the whole family!

WC Rodeo Company is bringing the biggest show of the year to🧨Mars Hill🧨 with THREE nights of action July 3rd, 4th, and 5th for the 2nd Annual Independence Day Celebration Rodeo!! Come one, come two, or come all three nights!

Start time 8PM both nights.

On Saturday, June 14, 2025 – 2:00pm to 4:00pm, please join us at The Hop Ice Cream (and Pop Bubble Tea) for a meet & greet and book signing with Lauren Paige Conrad, author and illustrator of the new picture book, This Is Our City. Drop in between 2 and 4 PM.

This event in the Young Readers Series presented by The Hop Ice Cream and Malaprop’s Bookstore/Cafe is free and open to the public.

4th Annual Kid’s Fishing Day

Join us for Kids Fishing Day on June 14th. The pond is stocked and we have everything needed to catch fish. Also a hot dog lunch is provided. The lady quilters finished a beautiful quilt to be raffled. Come to the pond on Netherton Dr, Candler. Everyone is welcome!!
