Join us on Saturdays May 31st or June 7th at 10am for our new tour: “Look Homeward, Asheville.”
We are excited to step back in time and explore the streets of Asheville through the eyes of Thomas Wolfe. This 90 minute walking tour will guide you past the landmarks and real-life settings that inspired and shaped Look Homeward, Angel. Whether you’re a fan of Thomas Wolfe or are simply curious about the city, this tour offers a reflective look into the history of Asheville and its changes over time. We hope you can make it!
The tour begins at the Thomas Wolfe Memorial on the front porch of the Historic Old Kentucky Home Boardinghouse.
Tours – $5. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time or the morning of in the Thomas Wolfe Memorial Visitor Center (located directly behind the historic boardinghouse).

May is National Water Safety Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of water safety and drowning prevention. While water activities can be a fun and enjoyable way to spend time with loved ones, they can also be dangerous if proper precautions are not taken. FREE
Bring your toddler out to some of our local parks on Thursday mornings in April and May as we host fun, themed-days as warm weather returns. FREE
Send little ones in white tees to turn ordinary water play into a vibrant, sensory experience with safe, kid-friendly colored water. FREE
Enjoy sandcastles, water play, and endless fun in the sun.
