Community Concert featuring the Steep Canyon Rangers

The highly anticipated Community Concert is returning to Pack Square Park in Downtown Asheville on Thursday, May 29, 2025, and this year’s lineup promises to deliver another unforgettable evening of live music, local food, and community spirit. The event will feature Steep Canyon Rangers, one of the most renowned names in bluegrass and Americana music, along with the incredible opening act, Sam Burchfield and the Scoundrels. The Community Concert is presented by Oskar Blues Brewery, Dale’s, and Fred Anderson Subaru.

This celebration of community is FREE to attend, with General Admission available to all. For those seeking an enhanced experience, Preferred Access Tickets powered by Skyla Credit Union are on sale now, providing attendees with a premium concert experience in the heart of Asheville’s iconic Downtown.

“We’re so excited to bring this event back to Pack Square Park, where the energy and excitement of the community come alive through great music and local flavor,” said Hayden Plemmons, Executive Director of the Asheville Downtown Association. “This concert not only highlights incredible talent but also gives us a chance to showcase the amazing local food vendors, and artists that make our Downtown so special.”

“The thing that I love about playing a big, free show on Pack Square is that it gives us all an opportunity to come together and have a great time. We need that now more than ever. Hopefully this year we can bring in a lot of folks from out town to come stay the weekend, eat in our restaurants, have a beer, buy some artwork and help Asheville get back on our feet” – Graham Sharp, Steep Canyon Rangers

In addition to the music, the Community Concert will also feature a variety of local food vendors, a marketplace with unique handmade goods, and a gear swap presented by Second Gear, giving attendees the chance to exchange gently used outdoor gear. The event is designed to bring together people of all ages for an evening of celebration, while supporting local businesses and artists.

The GLO Mobile Outreach Bus is rolling to a neighborhood near you! (Check the schedule in the comments)

The Children & Family Resource Center of Henderson County GLO (Grow Learn Outreach) Mobile supports and enhances kindergarten readiness and transition activities in the Henderson County community. Our early learning outreach bus aims to remove barriers such as transportation, availability of care, and expenses that often keep children out of a preschool setting and will allow parents to access the necessary support for their children to begin kindergarten ready to learn. The mobile unit enhances kindergarten readiness and transition activities in Hendersonville removing barriers such as transportation, availability of care, and expenses that often keep children out of a preschool setting and will allow parents to access the necessary support for their children to begin kindergarten ready to learn.

The mobile unit is intended to be a vehicle for outreach into our community to engage children ages birth through 5, not in licensed child care centers. We know the earliest days of a child’s life can be one of the most important indicators of future success and by bringing quality early childhood experiences into neighborhoods with barriers like transportation, primary language, and limited income, we hope to build the child’s foundation for future learning. It is our goal to assist these caregivers in becoming their child’s first educator, empowering them to be the support their children need to start kindergarten prepared.

The GLO Mobile visits areas of the community furthest from child care centers that may have issues with transportation. These visits help engage children and caregivers to create positive connections with other families, provide developmentally appropriate activities for the caregiver and child to do together, and connect families to resources.

13 inches of deliciousness: Perfectly sized for sharing (or not!).

Made with our homemade dough: Hand-prepped and baked to perfection.

Topped with homemade pizza sauce: Bursting with the rich flavors of sun-ripened tomatoes and a secret blend of herbs.

Farm-fresh ingredients: Sourced directly from our farm or other local farms to ensure the freshest and most flavorful toppings.

Whether you’re a veggie lover or just love great pizza, you’ll be thrilled with our ever-changing specials!

Always Something Special

Each week, our creative team comes up with two new pizza specials, ensuring that there’s always something fresh and exciting to try. From garden-fresh toppings like heirloom tomatoes and basil, to unique combinations that you won’t find anywhere else, our specials are sure to tantalize your taste buds.

Feeling classic? Don’t worry—we always have a cheese pizza available upon request for those who prefer the simple, comforting goodness of mozzarella and tomato.

Suggested Donation

We believe in making good food accessible to all while supporting our community. We suggest a donation of $20 – $25 per pizza, which helps us continue to offer fresh, locally sourced meals and support our local farming community.
