The Paradiddles began making music in January 2016, using music from a wide range of genres such as rock and roll, funk, and reggae. The band consists of Penny Trudrung on vocals, Lily Fox on keyboard and vocals, Wyatt Turner on bass, and Graham Hunter on drums, with ages ranging from 8-11. The ensemble is instructed by Kylie Brown but the band members work together to choose the songs they would like to cover. The ensemble is a part of the outreach program at the Asheville Music School, where band members perform to serve the Asheville community at venues such at the ABCCM Veteran’s Quarters.

For our future- Asheville kids’ protest
My kids, Kale and Asha, had the idea to hold a kids protest here in Asheville to express their opposition to the current administration and their support for many things, like good education, a clean environment, racial equality, welcoming refugees and immigrants, girls and womens equal rights, healthcare, care for differently abled, and rights for LGBTQ folks. We would like to invite y’all to join our family in standing up for our beliefs, and making a statement to the world that we do not agree with what is happening in our government. This will be a peaceful gathering, hopefully with lots of joy. Hope to see you there!
