During Homeschool Monday programs parents are invited to participate with their student, as we delve into the world of weather, with this hands-on lesson taught by AMOS educators. This is an inquiry and invention based approach to measuring and discussing the weather, through the construction of weather tools and models. At the end of this project, you will recognize the tools that scientists use to study the weather and why these tools are constructed the way they are.
Homeschool Monday’s are 50-minutes classes taught in our STEM Lab by an AMOS educator.

The Paradiddles began making music in January 2016, using music from a wide range of genres such as rock and roll, funk, and reggae. The band consists of Penny Trudrung on vocals, Lily Fox on keyboard and vocals, Wyatt Turner on bass, and Graham Hunter on drums, with ages ranging from 8-11. The ensemble is instructed by Kylie Brown but the band members work together to choose the songs they would like to cover. The ensemble is a part of the outreach program at the Asheville Music School, where band members perform to serve the Asheville community at venues such at the ABCCM Veteran’s Quarters.
YOUR UNC Asheville women’s basketball team takes on conference leader Radford this Saturday! We will be recognizing all our women’s basketball alumni and celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the 2007 UNC Asheville team who beat Radford to win the Big South Conference title!
YOU can make the difference for the Bulldogs! We need you to be at Kimmel Arena at Noon on Saturday as we take on Radford. It’s the Suits and Sneakers game battle childhood cancer, so join Nick McDevitt and his staff in wearing your sneakers to the game. The Greenside Up Foundation will be hosting a silent auction to benefit childhood cancer patients with Mission Health.
