Blossom Buds Walk Club

Weekly on Thursdays at 11am

Attention Weaverville, Woodfin, Mars Hill, Marshall, Asheville & Barnardsville parents! Announcing Blossoming Buds Stroller Club!

As the Mama of a 10 month old who recently moved to the area, I’m on a mission to build community and hope you’ll join us! A big thank you to other local stroller groups including Homegrown Families Stroller Revolution for empowering me to get this going on the north side.

Strollers or baby wearing encouraged & late arrivals are welcome (you can catch us on the 2nd lap). MEETING SPOT will be at the bathrooms by the playground. Weather cancelations will be posted the night before on my Instagram business page @naturebabieslactation

Swannanoa LEGO Club

1st Monday of every month

A Lego club for the kids in Swannoanoa (and farther if you want to bring them)! We have all the legos we could need! We are using our church building but this is not a religious event, just a chance to play and make some friends.

Garden Tea Party

You are cordially invited to our Garden Tea Party! We are excited to bring this fun and delicious program back after a year off.

This program is for ages 5 and up and will include tea, refreshments, crafts, games, and a photo booth. Participants are encouraged to bring your best tea hat and attire for a great morning of tea themed fun at Silvermont.

Spring Fling

Kids Garden is hosting our very first Spring Fling! There will be fun for the whole family, including a bounce house, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, a makers market and so much more!

This event will take place outside/inside of Kids Garden Asheville

Stroller Revolution Walk

Every Monday of each month @ 10:30am

Get your body moving while making connections with other parents! Meet at French Broad River Park in front of the bathrooms before heading out on our hour-long stroll.

Partial Solar Eclipse Viewing

The solar eclipse will be crossing over America this upcoming Monday, April 8th!

The Physics and Astronomy Department at UNCA and the Astronomy Club of Asheville are holding a viewing for the solar eclipse on UNC Asheville’s campus in Parking Lot 34 (where the weekly farmers market is held). Here in Asheville it will be a partial solar eclipse with a maximum of 87% coverage around 3pm.

We will have special eclipse glasses, telescopes, and fun Sun facts. So bring your sunscreen and some friends and have fun watching the eclipse with us!

20th Annual NC Gold Festival

May 31, 2024 2 pm – 9 pm
June 1, 2024 9 am – 6 pm

Join us in celebrating our state’s gold heritage at the 20th Annual NC Gold Festival located at The Lucky Strike south of Marion, NC. We will have a variety of vendors such as gold dealers, gold mining equipment dealers, gemstone themed vendors, hand crafters, non-profits, and more! This is going to be a fantastic celebration with multiple music groups, and a couple of new to the festival surprises that will be announced at a later date! Make plans to attend, you won’t regret it!

The festival will be held at 251 Lucky Strike Drive in Marion, NC.

Spring Concert

Join us for a spring concert from 11:15-12pm at MLC West, at St. George Church! Join BBAVL teachers as they perform an interactive concert for kids and families! Featuring a special guest who the Montessori Learning Community pre-school community knows very well! This event is part of a fundraiser, but it is open to the public and intended to be a community event for families, especially those with children between 0-6. All ticket reservations are sliding scale and sales will go towards trying to maintain the weekly program at Montessori Learning Community.

Asheville Community Square Dance

First Saturday of every month, September 2025 through May 2026

Come enjoy a fun night of lively music, spirited square dances, and community fun at Haw Creek Commons! No partner needed—this is an inclusive, safe space, and all are welcome.

  • 🕖 Schedule: Dance lesson 7:00 PM | Dance 7:30–9:30 PM
  • 🚗 Parking: Use Haw Creek Elementary (10 Bethesda Rd) and walk across the field; accessible spots available next to the hall.
