Grand Opening of Appalachian Mountain Brewery – Mills River

Appalachian Mountain Brewery – Mills River is opening a brand new tap room in Mills River, and celebrating with a Grand Opening Party this Friday and Saturday! Their doors will open Friday, at noon, with a ribbon-cutting with the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce to follow at 4pm. The weekend plans are jam packed with fresh beer, elevated comfort food, and live music in the beer garden. The first 200 guest on Friday and Saturday will also receive a special commemorative glass.

♥️ For the kids, they’ll have a full food menu with kids menu, custom coloring pages, crayons, a fully fenced in beer garden with many picnic tables, shade, games to play, and a play table featuring sand/gravel and bulldozers and other toys. We also love that although it’s very welcoming of kids and dogs from day one, they have aspirations for more elaborate kids areas in the future!

Moose Tracks Ice Cream 10,000 Scoop Challenge

It’s the largest ice cream social around! Enjoy FREE Kemps and Mayfield Dairy Farms Moose Tracks Ice Cream, and help raise $10,000 for MANNA FoodBank. For each scoop served, Moose Tracks will donate $1 to MANNA FoodBank for vital community programs.

Backcountry Bash

THE PARK IS GROWING BY MILES AND MILES!!

Just over 6 miles of new trail to be exact! On June 24th we will be celebrating the opening of four NEW TRAILS (in yellow) at our BACKCOUNTRY BASH from 11:00am-3:00pm. We would love for you to come and celebrate with us!!! 

Huge shoutout to Elevated Trail Design, LLC for designing and building these AMAZING trails!!

Rotary Bark in the Park – Dog Walk Event

Rotary Bark in the Park – Dog Walk Event

Join your friends and neighbors for a great day of fun, exercise, and fellowship with man’s best friend. The walk begins at 11:00 am at the Rotary Pavilion, Carrier Park, Amboy Road, Asheville. Enjoy a 1.0-mile hike along the French Broad River, returning to the Pavilion for music, food, vendors, and dog contests. All proceeds for the event will go to Rotary charities and animal rescue organizations.

Early online registration for $10 is available until Friday, June 9. After this date, you may register on-site for $15.00 for each pet.

Each registrant will receive a Bark Goodie Bag!

Chaperoned walks leave at 11:00 am and 11:30 am

Contest Judging is at 12:30 pm

Rock Crawlers Outdoor Educational Program (Ages 4-7)

Beginning on May 2nd through August 29 from 10:30 till 12:00.

Rock Crawlers is an outdoor educational program offered through the Pisgah Visitor Center for ages 4-7. Programs are 1.5 hours long and begin with the reading of a forest-themed story and include fun activities, games, and a craft. These programs will be offered on the first Tuesday and last Tuesday of each month. Perfect for families looking to expand their children’s knowledge of the forest and all the treasures that are hidden within.

There is no cost for this event but to help us know who to expect, please click on the ticket information below to reserve your space!
WHAT TO BRING (This program will utilize both indoor and outdoor spaces. Assure that your child is wearing the proper clothing for getting dirty)
