Annual Groovin’ on Grovemont Outdoor Summer Concert Series
July 8th, 22nd & Aug 5th, 2025 6:00pm
Groovin’ is a free-admission outdoor concert series benefiting two Swannanoa nonprofit organizations: The Friends of the Swannanoa Library and the Swannanoa Community Council.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and come enjoy these free family-friendly evenings of great music and food! All proceeds go to the Swannanoa Community Council and Friends of The Swannanoa Library for the benefit of all those who use and enjoy Grovemont Park & Playground and the Swannanoa Library.
Grovemont Park is located adjacent to the Swannanoa Library, 101 West Charleston Avenue.
As always, A large selection of tasty and freshly prepared foods will be available for concert goers to enjoy. While the offerings are always changing, in past years attendees have chosen from such dishes as BBQ pork, smoked chicken, fried tempeh, various cold salad options, hamburgers, hot dogs, and more! Of course, Vegan and Gluten Free will be available, as well as smaller portions for the little ones. All proceeds go to the Swannanoa Community Council and Friends of The Swannanoa Library.

Summer Block Party
Asheville Market is thrilled to announce yet another community event and gathering! On July 15th from Noon to 4pm, stop by the Market for family activities, games, delicious foods, live music, community engagement, and philanthropic ventures. The market is excited to unite our merchants, our community members, and local non-profits to celebrate the beautiful summer in Asheville and contribute to our community. We will have a variety of activities, including craft creation areas, games, face painting, music lessons, animal education, henna tattoos, massage on wheels and much more!

Back to School Bash
Pisgah Pest Control is excited to announce our upcoming Back to School Bash! We have purchased 120 backpacks to fill with supplies and we will pass out those filled backpacks at the event to assist the children in our community with the opportunity to have the tools they need to thrive in the classroom.
Ingles, Sav-Mor, and Food Lion in Brevard have committed to donations towards our hot dog lunch for the Back to School Bash event.
Our next door neighbor, Saint Patrick’s Anglican Church, will be present and offering desserts for the event. They have also made contributions to our School Supplies Drive for this event.

Grand Opening Celebration of Three New Turf Fields
In addition to a ribbon-cutting, the event will offer sports clinics for all ages, including soccer, ultimate frisbee, and lacrosse.
After the event, explore all that Buncombe County Sports Park has to offer, including soccer fields, picnic areas, disc golf, walking trails, bocce courts, sand volleyball courts, a playground, community garden, edible urban orchard, covered recreation shelter rentals, and more!

Leicester Tailgate Farmers Market

The Leicester Tailgate Farmers Market is located in the rural mountains off New Leicester Highway. Our vendors bring out their best locally sourced meats, cheeses, vegetables, crafts, plants, flowers, soaps, lotions, eggs, and much more.

Urban Garden Tour and Tasting 2023
Local food producing gardens will open their gates for visitors!
Guest can take part in educational activities, and tours.
There is no cost to visit the gardens and everyone is welcome – please leave your furry friends at home though!
Local chefs will be preparing small bites for sampling for visitors with a tasting ticket.
