Lake Monster Parade Creative Crafting Workshop
July 16th & 23rd 2:00pm-4:00pm
Creative Crafting Workshop for the Lake Monster Parade with DotDot Crafters Club at Black Mountain Library. Help make beautiful art to decorate Lake Tomahawk for the upcoming Lake Monster Parade! You will be making large lake/ocean creatures and costumes, with all of the supplies you need, and a little creative inspiration from DotDot.
This workshop is for all ages.

Back to School Saturday Curb Market
Family Fun! Music, magic show, food trucks – Cream Works and Pelican’s, gift bags of school supplies for every child, plus shopping all our wonderful vendors. Farm fresh vegetables and fruits, jams, jellies, pickled everything, salsas, honey, eggs, baked goods, fresh hot soups, fresh cut flowers, plants, heritage crafts of all kinds and so much more. We have 70 vendors.

Kids Safety Day at Celebrity’s Hotdogs. The Fraternal Order of Police will be making identakid, Buncombe county EMS will have an ambulance and Skyland fire will be there as well!

Well, darn if he didn’t pull it off! Get your mayonnaise eatin’ pants on, Asheville, because the Duke’s Mayonnaise mascot, Tubby, is coming to town August 3rd 9:00am-11:00am in Pack Square Park! “Meet Tubby, show Duke’s we love ‘em, get your picture took!”

We’re thrilled to announce that the 9th GLM Back to School Drive is back and bigger than ever! Join us at the Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Center on August 18th, 2024, for a day filled with giving back and preparing our scholars for success. This year, our goal is to sponsor 500 scholars, and we need your help to make it happen!

You can help them ensure all kids have the supplies they need to start the new year! The Annual Ingles Tools for Schools Supply Drive will be held August 2nd at the Ingles on Smokey Park Hwy. All of those supplies collected will be distributed to the local children in the community to help them get the school supplies they need to start the school year successfully.
