Explore the Snorkel Trail

Did you know? Mills River Park is one of ten pilot sites for the Blue Ridge Snorkel Trail Program! Join the NC Wildlife Resources Commission and the Mills River Partnership to learn about the new Blue Ridge Snorkel Trail, Snorkel with a biologist ti discover the fish and other wildlife that calls the Mills River home. 

  • Bring a snorkel and mask or swim goggles. A limited number of snorkels will be available to use.
  • All youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Recovery Alive and Living Water Fall Festival

First annual fall festival. Recovery Alive and Living Water Church have teamed up to host this event. We want to love on our community! We will have vendors, food, bounce houses, games, candy apples and more… Something for the entire family!!

Summer Carnival (see description for hours)

Daily, July 11th-28th

Summer Carnival in the parking lot of the Tanger Outlets, Asheville. Enjoy carnival rides and games for all ages along with your favorite fair foods including funnel cakes, fried Oreos, and more.

WC Rodeo Co & Fireworks

July 3rd & 4th

Admission $15 children $10 kids under 5 free

Pro Rodeo Action!! Bull riding, Bucking Horses, Barrel racing, Roping and mutton busting for the kids!! Fireworks and live music each night!!! 

4th of July Drum Circle

We are OPEN on July 4th. We will have sparklers for the kids. Drum Curcle with Sue Fitzgerald. No experience or drums necessary. Sue brings plenty of drums!

July 4th Cookout & Potluck

Join Mark and Julia for a July 4th Cookout & Potluck. We’ll be featuring side dishes from Bears Smokehouse BBQ.

Maggie Valley Carpet Golf 4th of July Celebration! We have a beautiful view of the Maggie Valley Fireworks! There’s nothing better than mini golf, music, fireworks, and ice cold glass bottle soft drinks on July 4th! Come join us!

  • We will enjoy music provided by Oz DJ Services starting about 6 pm!
  • Fireworks start about 9:30 pm!
