Grand Opening

We are excited to share that XP League Asheville will have its GRAND OPENING where all registrations will receive a Founding Member discount = for life. We plan to have Food Trucks, free chair massages for the parents, and fun activities for kids too young to play on the gaming laptops!

Games we play include Fortnite, Minecraft (bed-wars), Rocket League, Valorant, Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, and League of Legends.

A few years ago the founders of this NC based franchise recognized that online video game environments could be extremely toxic, so they created a league where kids ages 7-17 could join a team and play in person against other youth teams across the country while enjoying a safe environment, PCA certified coach-led sessions, and receive training on how to play with a positive mindset.

Soft Launch Open House

Community Yard Sale

YMCA Youth Services at Beaverdam is hosting a flea market style yard sale with 20+ vendors selling their wares from new to old and everything in between – stop by to find some treasures while raising money to send a child to camp!

CAR WASH too – Our Leaders-in-training will be washing cars for donations to help send more kids to camp.

Farm Fresh Produce Distribution with Veterans Healing Farm at The Buzz in Hendersonville. If you could use a little food help right now, or know someone else who could, please stop by and pick-up some squash, zucchini, peppers, green beans, jalapenos, cucumbers, and whatever else they’ll be blessed with by then!

KIDS EAT FREE AT PANERA ON TUESDAYS IN JULY!

Panera Bread is offering a kids eat free deal every Tuesday in July with the purchase of an adult entree. This deal is only available through the MyPanera app, and the banner can be found through the app on Tuesdays.

FREE “PRINCESS BRIDE” Movie & School Supply Drive

“As you wish,” Broker Asheville is hosting an outdoor movie at Rabbit Rabbit. This year we are screening THE PRINCESS BRIDE for our VIP Clients, Friends, Family and Community.

Mark your calendars for The Princess Bride at Rabbit Rabbit (75 Coxe Avenue, on Asheville’s South Slope) on Sunday August, 6, 2023 at 4:30pm, admission is FREE!

Leading up to the event, we will be hosting a school supply drive to benefit the Asheville City Schools Foundation. From the beginning of July to August 6th you can drop off the following supplies at our office at 53 Asheland Avenue or 86 Asheland Avenue. Family Resource Center supports families’ needs throughout the school year. Here are the following items that are needed:

-Crayons
-Markers
-Colored Pencils
-Notebooks
-Diapers (all sizes)
-Wipes
-Deodorant
-Laundry Detergent
-Dish Washing Liquid

We will be celebrating the success of the School Drive at the event. There is no pressure to bring anything but yourselves!

Those who donate throughout July and at the event will be entered in our raffle drawing — including everyone who donates at the movie screening — for a set of the Blue Ridge Chair Work’s namesake chairs! These LOCAL chairs are convenient for camping, concerts, sporting events, or the beach – perfect for the Asheville Lifestyle!

Summer Splash

Join us for Summer Splash on July 30th at Haw Creek Commons/Central East Campus. From 2 – 5PM we will have kid pools, slip and slides, splash pad sprinklers, water sprayers, water balloons, tasty summer treats, music, and a karaoke competition. Bring your favorite lawn chairs, cold beverages and a big smile.

Summer Sidewalk Sale

Just in time for Back to School shopping, Asheville Outlets will host a Summer Sidewalk sale on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Over two dozen retailers will offer special sales and promotions including Crate & Barrel Outlet, Vineyard Vines Outlet, J.Crew Factory, Under Armour Factory House, and Vera Bradley Factory Outlet Store, among others.

From 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. visitors will enjoy live, old time bluegrass music performed by Marlee Merritt and Bayla Davis from the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area Partnership.

The day of family fun will also include free face painting for kids (noon to 2:00 p.m.).
